Work jointly with integrated GE DE Meters, Hyderabad and US Design teams
• Design & development of Firmware for embedded applications as well for troubleshooting, resolving issues and enhancing existing
applications designed using C/C++ Languages
Adherent to Six Sigma tools for firmware design and for issue resolutions like RCAs. (Ex: Fishbone, FMEA, Pugh matrix, Prioritization
matrix, etc)
• Responsible for Technical Risk Analysis and Mitigation
Masters /Bachelors degree in engineering with minimum of 5+ yrs of experience.
- Hands on experience in Design, Development of embedded firmware applications using C/C++ and Assembly .
- Expertise Microcontroller programming , 8 bit/16 bit /32 bit Micro-controller development tools (preferably ARM9 and Teridian family).
- Minimum 2 years of hands on experience in RTOS based applications design and development (preferably ThreadX).
- Working knowledge on Development & Debugging Tools such as Emulator, Simulator and C Compliers and Testing tools like Logic analyzer,
Oscilloscope and Function generators. Working knowledge on IAR Embedded Workbench, Keil compilers.
- The candidate should have good understanding of communication protocols concepts, networking and interaction between Intelligent
Electronic Devices.
- Knowledge required in Strong Interpersonal, communication skills required.
- Understanding of version/configuration control concepts and the need for accurate tracking of software updates and releases
- Knowledge of Windows and PC/desktop environments, Client/Server design is an advantage .
- Strong understand of SDLC process."
• Experience in working with ThreadX RTOS based embedded applications with strong RTOS debugging skill set
• Experience in communication protocol development like Modbus, TCP/IP, ZigBee. Experience in ANSIc12.18 or DLMS/COSEM is a
plus
• Working knowledge on Metering domain will be the added advantage.
• Experience in using Development & Debugging Tools such as Emulator, Simulator and C Compliers and Testing tools like Logic
analyzer, Oscilloscope, Data loggers and Function generators during design phase. Work with Hardware engineering team for
trouble shooting of Hardware and Firmware interface issues.
• Experience in preparing the design documents, test plans and test reports and execution of test plans.
